How long does a couple’s photo shoot really take?

One of the most common concerns is about the time set aside for photographs.

“Will we have to be away for ages?

The answer is simple.

Absolutely not.

A wedding is meant to be enjoyed

Photographs are important.

But they must never become the focus of the day.

Your place is amongst the people you’ve chosen to have by your side

That’s why I prefer to organise a brief, relaxed and natural session.

Thirty or 40 minutes is enough

You don’t need two hours.

You don’t need to change locations five times.

You don’t need to chase after perfect photos.

Often, the most moving images come from the simplest of places.

When you’re truly present.

Light is the real star

Beautiful light can transform any place.

A narrow alleyway

A meadow.

A country lane.

A sunset.

It’s not the view that makes a photograph special.

It’s the emotions you experience in that moment.

Five minutes worth a lifetime of memorie

If the sun is setting during the reception, I might ask you to step outside for a few minutes.

Just long enough.

Then you’ll return to celebrate with your friends

Often, those five minutes yield some of the most moving photographs of the whole day

The most beautiful memory

Photographs shouldn’t interrupt your wedding.

They should accompany it.

Discreetly.

Naturally.

Respecting your own pace.

Because your wedding day is meant to be lived.
